We are committed to growing the church across Liverpool Diocese, to introduce more people to Jesus Christ and to make a bigger difference in God's world.
This includes pioneering new congregations to reach new groups of people.
A new "congregation" refers to a new church plant, it could be a new worship service within a church or a new community who worship together and reach out in mission together. Canon Richard White is the Director of the centre.
As the Holy Spirit gives us opportunities, we want to be quick to respond. This means having a culture across our Diocese where pioneering new congregations is normal and support is in place to make it sustainable. The Joshua Centre brings together pioneers who are multiplying congregations for support, encouragement and learning from one another. 'Centre' refers to it being a focus for vision, support, learning and prayer rather than a building.
