A new initiative for parents and children under five will be introduced as part of the musical offering at Liverpool Cathedral.

Run in partnership with Music in Unison, these sessions are designed to provide children with a comprehensive musical foundation designed to promote a life-long love of music.

Focusing on a progressive music education, Liverpool Cathedral Teeny Maestros will equip parents with knowledge and skills necessary to support their child’s musical development. This will include follow up support resources, video tutorials and recordings.

Sessions are based in the Undercroft of the cathedral music department and will be delivered to both child and parent(s).

Each module offered by Teeny Maestros will be 5 weeks in length and will be progressive so that parents will see an end-result.

Session Facilitator, Tara Delve from Music in Unison is an Early Years Music Specialist and will be assisted by Teeny Maestro Apprentice Emma Weelkes and students from Liverpool John Moores University. The Programme Administrator is our own Stephen Mannings, Director of Choral Outreach.

Sessions will run on Friday mornings from 2nd November 2018 and will follow this schedule: 4months-1yr: 9-10am, 1-3yrs: 10-11am 3-5yrs: 11-12noon. The course of five sessions will cost £35.

The initial taster sessions have already booked up due to high demand. Booking for sessions starting from November 16th can be found at https://www.musicinunison.co.uk/book-online
