Tower Experience Maintenance

Your support enables us to keep investing in the Cathedral.
The Tower Experience is closed from 3rd December until the end of January 2019 for planned maintenance. We are able to carry out this work – replacing the lift doors - because of your continued support, thank you.
We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause. You can still enjoy a visit to the other areas of the Cathedral*.
*During the busy Advent and Christmas season, there may be parts of the Cathedral you may not be able to access as we host carol services for many of our local partners. Please keep checking our website for details.
Liverpool Cathedral is entirely self-funded through its enterprise and fundraising efforts and activities, which in turn help keep the Cathedral free to enter. It does not receive any public or government money.
The largest cathedral in the UK and fifth largest in the world, its Vestey Tower stands an impressive 154m above the River Mersey, Liverpool Cathedral is one of the imposing features of the Liverpool skyline. Built by the people for the people, it strives daily to maintain its visitor and missional status in the city and beyond.
