The Cross Guild is the Cathedral's Old Choristers' Association.
After leaving the Cathedral Choir, all choristers are welcome to join the Cross Guild.
Boys and girls are able to keep in touch with friends from the choir and continue to have a role in services at the Cathedral.
The Cross Guild provides all the ceremonial aspects of the Sunday morning Eucharist and other special services. This adds a major visual aspect to any Cathedral service, and is a big and unique part of the life of this Cathedral.

The Cross Guild carry out many liturgical roles at different services.
They regularly carry the processional cross, candles and Gospel book at the Sunday morning Eucharist as well as leading the clergy in processions. Many members of the Cross Guild also assist with the administration of communion. Their distinctive robes add much to the colour of Cathedral worship and they have an important lay role at many services, both large and small.
